This is an exciting and unique opportunity for an experienced HR Manager to shape the office culture of Brown-Forman’s European Headquarters. You will lead with influence and have the opportunity to partner with passionate and engaged team members and managers; whilst having exposure to broader European HR Projects.

Meaningful Work From Day One

This position is the first point of contact and key business partner to employees and managers across our Netherlands locations. Reporting to the Senior HR Director - Europe, this is a leadership role responsible for embedding our people and culture initiatives, leading office management and payroll activities. Meaningful work includes supporting the business through performance management, leadership coaching, employee development, employee relations and various other activities in support of our inclusive culture.

This is an office/hybrid role with minimum 3 days in our fantastic office in central Amsterdam. Internally this role will be called HR Manager - Netherlands

What You Can Expect

● Supports Senior HR Director - Europe in European-wide HR initiatives, including workforce and succession planning, organizational design, talent development and employee engagement.

● Leads the Office Coordinator in all office management and safety activities; and the Payroll Administrator, driving effectiveness and efficiency

● Partners with the global recruiting team and leaders in the recruitment and selection process, from job description development through Day 1 onboarding.

● Provides counsel to employees and managers regarding questions or concerns related to compensation, employee relations, performance management, coaching, etc.

● Provide guidance to managers and employees on the performance management process including coordinating performance/development plans.

● Fosters a culture of teamwork and inclusion, promoting the shared understanding of B-F values and operating principles that align HR policies and practices to support the achievement of business goals.

● Actively supports the B-F diversity and inclusion strategy and leads by example to create an environment of inclusive leadership.

What You Bring to the Table

● Essential to this role is a strong understanding of Dutch Labour Law and it’s application

● Fluent in English and Dutch

● Proven experience track record in HR Business Partner roles and ideally as a HR Manager but open to someone stepping up to

● Demonstrated ability to lead others and provide effective oversight of payroll and office management

● Experience in a multinational organization with a matrixed environment, leveraging communication and influencing skills to effectively collaborate

● Ability to build strong relationships throughout all levels and across cultures

● Strong organisational skills with ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

● Demonstrated champion of diversity and inclusion

● Ability to develop problem-solving solutions based on evaluation of needs and clear deliverables
