The role is responsible for driving the development of our Emerging Brands portfolio (focus on Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Herradura and El Jimador Tequilas, Fords Gin and Glendronach, BenRiach and Glenglassaugh Single Malts) in a cluster of markets where we collaborate with

Coca-Cola Hellenic as our distributor partner and consists of Greece, Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia and Serbia.

Meaningful Work From Day One

This position (BM-EB) sets vision, objectives and strategies for the Emerging Brands portfolio across Greece, Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia and Serbia with specific focus towards Greece as the lead market in the current calendar year.

While the local Brand Managers are responsible for the overall Marketing agenda in the markets, the BM-EB will be responsible, in close collaboration with cross-functional teams and agency & distributor partners (DP), to develop annual and long-term strategic brand plans for Emerging Brands for Greece, Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia and Serbia, as well as lead for all activities the operational planning, execution and evaluation.

The role is a key strategic thought partner to the Marketing, Commercial and Finance teams for portfolio strategy, business development & priorities, resource allocation and provides a clear ‘point of contact’ for both B-F and DPs.

What You Can Expect

Brand Strategy & Execution

● Lead development of Emerging Brands Portfolio strategy for Greece, Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia and Serbia and portfolio/market prioritisation in collaboration with Area Manager, Business Development Manager, Business Development Specialist and Marketing Manager.

● Lead Strategic Brand Plan development in close collaboration with market (Senior) Brand Managers, Area Manager, Business Development Manager, Business Development Specialist and Marketing Manager, as well as DP teams

● Develop a close working relationship with global brand teams to align brand plans, long-term strategic direction and collaborate on building the required assets for the market

● Develop and lead go to market campaigns & initiatives including but not limited to ATL, trade activations, experiential marketing/events, brand advocacy, etc.

● Provides guidance and input into local agency relationships by brand in collaboration with DP marketing teams

● Scope new products and portfolio diversification opportunities - size of prize, consumer trends/ rationale and business cases

● Partner closely with Distributor for effective channel & customer programs across Off Premise, On Premise and E-Commerce

● Track and measure key brand and business metrics with actionable outputs and reapplied learnings

● Performs the role of brand guardian and is ultimately responsible that all B-F consumer/customer communication is in line with overall brand rules, is fully compliant with the local law and is following the internal legal B-F procedures

Financial Management

● Management and delivery of the P&Ls for Emerging Brands in Greece, Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia and Serbia in close collaboration with Area Manager, Business Development Manager, Business Development Specialist, (Senior) Brand Managers, Marketing Manager and Finance team

● Lead the development of A&P budget needed to deliver the agreed targets and ensure regular tracking

Trade and consumer insights

● Leads the development and constant updating of consumer insights, supervising all consumer research in collaboration with the Brand and Business Insights and DP teams

● Ensure the analysis on a regular basis of the competitive environment and emerging trends in markets in order to implement corrective measures and action plans.

● Performs regular market visits (on-and off-trade) to gain knowledge and observations about the market and consumers.

Distributors Partners engagement and motivation

Route-To-Consumer model in the markets involve a 3rd party distributor with a local BF marketing team as well. Continuous alignment with the local BF team and distributor partners is a must.

● Providing support and developing DP trade marketing capabilities with a consistent focus on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the brand related activities.

● Ensuring effective brand-related training and onboarding of DP trade marketing teams. 2

● Being an advocate and ambassador for brand knowledge, education and best in class activation

What You Bring to the Table

  • College/University (Bachelors or Equivalent)

  • Qualified in marketing and decent years of experience in brand management

  • Experience in driving the overall communications plan including TTL activities

  • Working with 3rd party distributor partners, would be a plus

  • Previous experience of managing digital and social media campaigns Know-how of on-trade and e-commerce, would be a plus

  • A&P and P&L management

  • Previous experience of leading multiple countries and cross-functional teams.

  • Fluent in Greek and English

  • Great analytical skills, commercially savvy and solution focused to solving problems

  • IT literate - MS Office applications & Google applications

  • Able and willing to travel up to 30-40% of the time also internationally and attend evening and weekend events when needed
