Meaningful Work From Day One
Responsible for ensuring that Brown-Forman’s financial records are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), management reporting and local statutory requirements. This position has a focus on the accounting and tax compliance for several 3rd party markets in Europe with a special focus on the Dutch entity.
What You Can Expect
Manage accounting results to ensure compliance with USGAAP and local statutory requirements with special focus on Dutch entity.
Responsible for the correct application of new USGAAP for revenue recognition and lease accounting to several 3rd party markets entities and Dutch entity.
Manage external and internal audit for the Dutch entity
Compile, manage and process the monthly report from the Accounting providers for the entities in Romania, Slovenia and Bulgaria.
Act as liaison between Regional Accounting Manager, Marketing; Finance and Commercial teams.
Calculate, prepare and record Advertising and Discounting accruals for 3rd party markets
Manage the bookkeeping, cash flow and tax compliance of the several entities with the help of external providers, ensuring to meet all the local tax and mercantile deadlines and the corporate and reporting deadlines as well.
Assist the Regional Accounting Manager in performing insightful, clear analysis of international operations. Includes analyzing performance versus various measures to identify areas for improvement and potential problems.
Determining expense classifications are understood by the field and company policy is adhered to.
Assist with Route to Consumer (RTC) issues related to new model for example, accounting for buy back of inventory, credit memos to distributors, implementation of correct accounting for new entity, set up of new vendors, MSA agreements, SAP and Coupa implementations…etc.
Assist Tax with local tax projects and transfer pricing studies.
Changes in processes necessitated by change in business.
Manage statutory accounts for some small European entities.
Balance Sheet Account Analysis:
Responsible for ensuring balance sheet account analyses for international markets are prepared, understood, documented and submitted in a timely manner. Assure US GAAP is followed for all entities.
What You Bring to the Table
Education: bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
Experience in financial accounting
Fluent Spanish and English
Familiar with USGAAP and other local GAAP
SAP Finance experience
We are looking for someone who has preferably worked for one of the Big Four Accountancy companies or from a global company
