The “Route To Consumer” (RTC) in Spain, the operations scheme as well as the market environment’s complexity require a solid, efficient and precise operational steerage and execution of supply chain routine processes and at the same time demand thoughtful troubleshooting and operational decision taking on daily basis to maintain and continuously enhance service levels, efficiency and process rigor.
The overall responsibility of this role is to lead a local team of specialists in order to support the market’s future growth and to safeguard product availability and business continuity at any time. Building the operational face to local customers and to lead respectively support other functions, such as sales, finance, accounting, etc. in standard processes along the order to cash cycle is in scope and focus of this role as well as providing flexible and expert support on promotional and marketing projects and activities.
Beyond effectively managing and supporting a team of four direct reports in planning, customer service and purchasing functions, a key success criteria of the role is to build and maintain efficient and collaborative working relationships with the supply chain counterparts on area, regional and corporate level as well as a variety of other functional leaders in Spain.
What You Can Expect
Oversee full supply chain function for BF Spain: logistics, planning, customs, tax stamp and excise management, customer service and purchasing.
People management: lead and support Spain supply chain team.
Collaborating with the Area and Regional Supply Chain Management to analyze, develop, enhance, implement and operate logistics operations, structures and standard operating procedures for Spain, compliant with corporate standards.
Being the first contact for all logistics relevant aspects and the interface to the third party logistic providers; this includes the integration of systems, reporting, etc.
Cooperating with the third party logistics providers to ensure supply flow of products.
Preparing and controlling the Logistics budget, under the supervision of Finance & Supply Chain Director Spain and Area Supply Chain Mgmt.
Ensure the right stock level of products for domestic and travel retail sales in order to avoid out-of-stocks.
Managing approved product volume for promo activities, including potential POS materials’ warehousing and/or administration responsibilities. Associated coordination with BFC and European Sales Promotion functions.
Communicate monthly Supply Chain KPIs for Spain: Service Levels, Inventory, Sales Forecast Accuracy / Stock Turnover.
Controlling the evidence of orders and deliveries from suppliers, monitoring the accuracy level of the shipments.
Cooperating with the Logistics provider in the area of import and customs procedures.
Managing with other departments such as accounting the various tax filings with authorities like: Ministry of Finance, Customs Office, etc.
Supervising deliveries and stock movements concerning customs and excise clearance according to the company policy and import/customs procedures.
Supervising and coordinating the appropriate and transparent flow and administration of excise tax stamps. Monitor and advise any changes to import/excise tax procedures and rates.
What You Bring to the Table
Bachelor or similar education (apprenticeship in commercial profession)
Years of experience in Logistics, import department/area, Supply Chain
Fluent in Spanish and English
Very good analytical skills
Solid knowledge of Financial / ERP System – SAP (MM, SD, APO) Applications
