Brown-Forman Accounting Analyst (Temporary 6 Months) in Guadalajara, Mexico

This exciting role mainly supports the Mexico & South, Central America, and the Caribbean (SCA&C) accounting and tax team leads and is responsible for statutory compliance activities. It also works with finance and other cross-functional groups within the organization.
Meaningful Work From Day One:
Compliance is a key factor in ensuring business continuity. This position will support the Mexico statutory audit, SOX audit processes, and other accounting-tax compliance-related projects.
What You Can Expect:
Responsible for coordinating and providing accounting and financial information according to Statutory Audit Compliance schedules, including but not limited to: Financial Statements, journal entries, and documentation support.
Responsible for follow-up with multidisciplinary teams on completing statutory audit tasks, e.g., confirmation letters, legal information, etc.
Support SOX Audit activities and prepare reports per auditors' requests for 5 legal entities.
Fill out multiple tax templates for statutory compliance of 5 legal entities required for Annual Returns, Issif Reports, Tax Audit Reports.
Coordinate information with third-party tax providers for the on-time filing of the tax audit report.
Support accounting and tax teams with tasks and documentation support for Tax Projects.
Ad-hoc statutory compliance activities and reports.
Perform variations analysis and explanations as required.
What You Bring to the Table:
Degree in accounting or finance, plus 3+ years of accounting or finance experience in similar roles.
Technical accounting skills.
Tax compliance knowledge.
Strong Mexican statutory compliance ( accounting and tax) knowledge, providing and/or coordinating information.
Computer skills with current, or ability to quickly build, proficiency in Google G Suite [Slides, Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar, and Mail], Excel, SAP, and Blackline.
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision.
