The Senior Business Systems Analyst reports to the Manager Business Applications and is responsible for analysis and development, implementation, modification and installation of large complex systems including but not limited to Coupa, indifferent operational environments.

The Sr. Business Systems Analyst is:

  • Responsible for development, configuration, and integration of systems & business processes.

  • Responsible for system documentation as well as technical specifications, and testing plans.

  • Assists in recommending, designing, testing and implementing systems upgrades, improvements and break-fixes.

● Partner with the business, process owners and super users to understand and develop their technology requirements.

  • Have the capability to evaluate and assess business and user needs, and suggest a technology that meets the requirements and is compatible with existing systems and Brown-Forman IT’s strategy.

  • Responsible for the analysis and development, implementation, modification and installation and support and testing of technologies for process improvements.

  • Ability to prepare flowcharts, models, and procedures, and create feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.

  • Ability to analyze system user requirements to define and design and complete system configuration, enhancements, and modifications.

  • Ability to create and maintain business and system process documentation, technical specifications, system testing and documenting test results, and quality assurance of production system changes.

  • Act as a liaison to the business clients and technology resources, coordinating and documenting the functional requirement definitions for the business area and related initiatives.

  • Prepare estimations of the costs of system solutions and prepare project plans to provide input into decisions about prioritizing projects and allocating IT resources.

  • Serve as the in-house expert on assigned technologies, business processes and end-user information delivery tools.

  • Maintain effective working relationships with Brown-Forman personnel and external partners.

  • Develop and maintain a professional knowledge of new and emerging trends in software and hardware technology.

Project Management:

  • Manage or participate in division level projects/ assignments with typically a large degree of complexity and change management.

  • Follow IT project methodology, responsible for all aspects of project life cycle management and the coordination of resources across IT and within the business operating units.

  • With general supervision, lead the execution of technology implementation initiatives, within accepted timelines, budgets and resources.

Support/Training:

  • Provide ongoing support to include:

  • Establishing and enforcing standardizations of business operating processes, procedures and policies.

  • Investigate and resolve end-user questions and complex problems; design, configure and document solutions, and transfer key knowledge to the business.

  • Monitor system performance. ○ Responsible for identifying, training and support Brown-Forman users across multiple departments.

We Are Looking For People Who:

  • College/University (Bachelors or Equivalent); Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Operations or other technology-specific field or equivalent required

  • 3-5 years of Information systems (Coupa related products) or business operations experience (Supply Chain or Finance) or a combination of education and experience.

What Makes You Unique :

  • SAP or ERP experience in Finance or Supply Chain

  • Education: Masters Degree (M.A., MBA or Equivalent)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to quickly learn existing business processes and combine knowledge from functional disciplines in order to produce optimal business solutions.

  • Ability to lead and coordinate assignments with functional and technical staff, leads system-related projects and initiatives (such as, Coupa new releases, adoption, and implementation of new functionality, integrations and business process changes) including implementation, review, and testing prior to go-live.

  • Ability to manage division level projects/assignments with a high degree of complexity.

  • Ability to facilitate workshops and deliver effective presentations that are valued by the client.

  • Possess the skills to initiate, evaluate, develop, defend, and influence users’ adoption of solid, actionable recommendations.

  • Strong experience with process design & requirements gathering.

  • Extensive knowledge of cloud architecture and change control through environments

  • Demonstrated ability to manage tasks, schedules and risks/issues.

  • Excellent client interaction and communication skills (written and verbal). Must be able to facilitate meetings to gather requirements and present solutions.

  • Ability to balance multiple demands and thrive a collaborative environment.

  • Strives for continuous improvement and has an innovative mindset.

  • Strong communication (written & verbal), presentation, and negotiation skills. Proven ability to effectively communicate ideas and solutions across all levels of the corporation, including system users, senior management, technical personnel and consultants
