Brown-Forman HR Manager - Germany (m/f/d) in Hamburg, Germany

Job Summary: Serves as an influential HR business partner to the allocated department, managing the day to day HR processes across allocated functions. Facilitate the execution of BF Deutschland’s business strategies through people and organizational development. Ensure the business goals, objectives and initiatives are supported through the execution of HR strategies, policies and procedures

Job Responsibilities:

• First point of contact in all HR related matters for the allocated business function

• Acts as a coach to line managers and function leadership team on employment relations matters, seeing things through to resolution (including mediation and conflict resolution)

• Facilitates team workshops to drive team effectiveness and collaboration

• Contributes to the annual Talent and Succession Planning process annually, providing key people insights and development areas

• In collaboration with HR Director and Function Director, drive awareness and initiatives which support the Diversity and Inclusion agenda

• Supports the HR Director and Functional Director to implement initiatives to increase engagement and enablement within function

• In partnership with the Regional Talent Acquisition and Global Total Rewards teams, support the business units’ recruitment and acquisition efforts and ensures the process runs smoothly to build the best and most capable, diverse workforce

• Partners with Regional People Development team, on annual development planning and needs of the allocated business unit

• Ensures uniform and equitable application of organizational policies and procedures including investigation and resolution of employee issues, if applicable

• Ensures annual processes are met within function, which relate to the PGP and annual merit/bonus cycles

• Lead the LiveWell initiatives for B-F Germany from ideation to execution; including coordination with the Global LiveWell Champions/Team

• Supports the rollout of functional capabilities, and acts as a change agent to the function leadership team

• Responsible for the onboarding process and all required documentation throughout the employment lifecycle (e.g. contracts, references, certificates etc.) within allocated function

• Support the HR Director in building and reviewing the mid-long term People Strategy

• Responsible for HR Communications relating to PGP process, Global Communications and initiatives

• Responsible for ensuring B-F Germany implements a Health & Safety progamme and a culture of accountability

• A back-up to the HR Specialist for payroll tasks in vacation/emergency situations

Required Experience & Education:

Education: College/University (Bachelors or Equivalent); Business Administration, HR, Law, Psychology or sii

Experience: University degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Law or comparable education with focus on Human Resources or related field

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in comparable generalist HR role

• Prior experience with payroll

• Experience in functional areas such as recruiting, compensation and benefits, training and organizational development

• Knowledge of German employment law

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to build strong relationships throughout all levels and across cultures

• Business fluent German and English

• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

• Collaborative team approach with the ability to engage others

Preferred Experience & Education:

Experience: Experience in a global matrix organisation is preferred

Fluency in another European language is highly favourable
