Global responsibility for:
providing a secure workplace for the company’s global workforce
protecting the company’s physical assets worldwide
ensuring the company’s compliance with Customs C-TPAT requirements
Lead the global security function to ensure the safety of both our employees and physical assets
Evaluate the type and level of security risks facing our global operations and implement programs to incorporate risk mitigation into the strategic planning processes for these operations.
Lead, in conjunction with Logistics, the C-TPAT certification process to ensure the company remains in compliance with the C-TPAT requirements.
Review and coordinate executive and personnel travel protection.
Advise senior management on significant security issues that could threaten our employees or operations.

Develop and implement global security operating procedures to ensure a consistent approach to protecting the company’s employees and assets.
Maintain a security framework that provides support to assets in low, medium and high-risk jurisdictions, including Brown-Forman sites, co-manufacturing partners, warehouses and event locations; and / or activities.
Develop, improve and distribute educational and awareness materials focused on workplace violence prevention, violence response plans, compliance education, and others.
Develop, improve and implement global executive protection policies and practices; ensure policy and practice fits with budgetary capacity and risk tolerances; and ensure policy stipulations are consistently applied.
Oversee security for major Brown-Forman events globally; identify, analyze and manage threats to Brown-Forman personnel and assets; liaise with local law enforcement and event security; implement appropriate security mitigation plans; oversee security of brand influencer activity.
Develop and manage the implementation of effective cargo security loss control measures.
Manage the investigation of significant security incidents, including the theft of company assets, threats to employees, unauthorized access to company property, etc. Ensure that all security incidents are properly managed at the local level.
Oversee the implementation of the C-TPAT requirements at the company’s production facilities to ensure compliance with the program’s standards and the continuation of the company’s C-TPAT certification.
What You Bring to the Table
Education: BA or BS degree in related field
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in corporate security (with at least 5 years experience as the head of the security function) and at least three years of international experience.
Significant knowledge of the global cargo security risk and demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective cargo security loss control measures.
In-depth technical knowledge of security standards, programs, techniques, and state-of-the-art equipment.
Capacity for proactive and strategic thinking and a track record demonstrating initiative, self-motivation, organizational leadership, and results-oriented attitude to influence outcomes.
What You Can Add to the Team
Experience: 15 years of progressive experience in corporate security, with an emphasis on Mexico and/or Latin America.
Languages: Fluency in English and Spanish
