Meaningful Work From Day One

The Manager, Global Quality Assurance at Brown-Forman ensures product excellence by leading quality and food safety systems across the global network of internal manufacturing, external manufacturing, warehouse and supplier locations. This role drives continuous improvement, works collaboratively and manages external relationships with business partners and site management to achieve quality and food safety objectives, coaches local QC teams, and manages all QA programs to meet GFSI, Brown-Forman, and regulatory standards.

What You Can Expect

  • Draws on best practices to guide improvement to policies and execution across geographies and broad network of sites

  • Cross-functional collaboration, partnerships and communication, promote quality awareness, food safety culture, and ownership across the value chain

  • Maintain high level of partnership and awareness to site initiatives, including NPD, process improvements, and site expansion, ensures operational plan is aligned with FS&Q objectives, influences design and implementation when necessary

  • Leads adherence to food safety and quality systems, including HACCP, GMPs, allergen control, and more

  • Assures internal manufacturing, external manufacturing and suppliers maintain certified quality and food safety programs

  • Acts as the facility’s FS&Q coach during regulatory inspections, customer audits, and third-party audits

  • Supports QC, Processing, Bottling, Warehouse and team at various manufacturing sites through coaching and hands-on teamwork, provides guidance on complex challenges and process improvement

  • Partners with Operations and SC&IT teams on quality-related matters at the manufacturing site, uses strong facilitation skills to drive issue investigations and consensus efficiently and effectively

  • Monitors and verifies activities to ensure all products meet food safety and quality standards.

  • Captures procedural deviations and implements interventions to maintain product safety and compliance.

  • Develops, aligns, and trains QC team members on Global Brown-Forman QA policies, processes, and procedures across the business.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Travels up to 15%.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology or similar scientific discipline

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Quality related position, including 5+ years as a factory QC Manager, or technical role providing direct support to quality or operational function in food manufacturing or consumer goods industry.

  • Strong knowledge of food safety/HACCP, GMPS, allergen controls, sanitary design/controls, pest controls, food regulations, analytical and microbiological lab methods.

  • Demonstrated technical aptitude, investigation skills, and ability to conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective and preventative actions.

  • Experience with global food safety standards and regulations.

What Makes You Unique

  • MS or MBA preferred

  • PCQI and SQF (or similar Food Safety and Quality Systems) certifications

  • Multilingual skills preferred, especially Spanish and/or Portuguese

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments and manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
