Meaningful Work From Day One:
The Senior Tax Analyst is responsible for the preparation of the calculations and submission of the various monthly and annual tax returns, both at the federal, state and municipal levels, as well as execution and follow- up of recurring tax compliance projects. The Senior Tax Analyst is responsible for statutory Corporate tax compliance, U.S. GAAP and statutory tax related accounting entries of the entities and prepares corporate reports in accordance with Corporate guidelines
This scope for this role covers Mexico, Panama, Colombia, Chile.
What You Can Expect:
Prepare monthly and anual returns of direct and indirect taxes in accordance with fiscal requirements, ensuring compliance with fiscal laws and regulations.
Make requests for tax refunds in favor and follow up on the process with the tax authorities.
Elaborate on the statutory calculations for taxable income, current tax and deferred tax as well as the annual tax true-up adjustment, according to the U.S. GAAP.
Accomplish the submission of the various tax reporting files that are submitted to corporate (quarter and annual), including quarterly forecasts of U.S. GAAP income before taxes and tax expenses.
Provide guidance and support to Accounting Analysts on topics related to tax compliance in countries such as Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Panama etc.
Elaborate and submission of the quarterly corporate tax audit questionnaire.
Prepare information (documentation, work papers, etc.) to respond to tax authority requests and follow-up of the requirements before the tax authorities.
Prepare information for tax audits (internal and external) and also collaborate on reviews to ensure a successful outcome.
Provide support and guidance to the various areas of the organization regarding compliance tax guidelines.
Support in the request for tax tag (marbete fiscal) working with the Production Planning and Import/Export teams.
Lead and be support for management in the implementation of new projects, related to tax compliance or derived from legal reforms that impact our industry.
Promote the search for and implementation of improvements in the area's internal processes, from the perspective of technological changes applied to the tax.
What You Bring to the Table:
Education: College/Universit (Bachelors or Equivalent); Accounting or Finance (Mexican Equivalent)
Experience: At least 3-5 years or more in a similar position in a corporate tax department as well as public accounting experience.
Proficient in English.
Experience in US GAAP and MEX GAAP.
What Makes You Unique:
Preferred experience in SAP or similar ERP, along with technical knowledge in income tax, VAT, excise taxes, social security, state and municipal taxes.
Experience in multinational organizations with a broad global presence.
Leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
