Brown-Forman Supply and Demand Planning Specialist - Fixed Term Contract in Prague, Czech Republic
Meaningful Work From Day One
Responsible for supporting the Italy Commercial Team in all the topics related to Demand and Supply Planning for all Brown-Forman (BF) brands for Italian customers. Collaborate with the Commercial Team and customers to develop and improve demand forecasts using statistical analysis and help manage local inventory and supply, collaborating with the Global Supply Planning and local supply chain customer teams.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract.
What You Can Expect
- Demand Planning & Analysis:
● Establish periodical sales forecast reviews through collaboration with the Commercial Team and, potentially, customers:
○ Participate in establishing Way of Working with Commercial Team.
○ Maintain regularly updated forecast files by SKU.
○ Load shipment forecasts into SAP APO on a monthly basis being sure that the right numbers are transmitted to the Production Teams.
● Conduct periodical forecast reviews with the Commercial Team to:
○ Provide trend analysis.
○ Obtain market insights.
○ Update SKU alignments.
○ Successfully launch new products.
○ Challenge the forecast updates (considering budget, category and market trends, new product launches, etc.).
● Support monthly IBP process according to calendar.
● Regularly prepare relevant key supply chain metrics for B-F’s leadership team and the regional supply chain to track levels of business support and operational effectiveness/excellence.
● Support the SKU allocation process for new, Value Added Packs, and limited SKUs, plan quantities with commercial teams, manage orders and inventory, and communicate plans and specific country requirements to production, demand planning, and the brand teams.
● Support new product development and ensure awareness of upcoming activity and deadlines through multiple stakeholders.
- Supply Planning, Inventory, and Allocation Management
● Collaborate with the US Customer Service and Global Supply Chain Team to ensure stock is being ordered, produced, and shipped according to the forecasts.
● Monitor local inventory levels compared to forecasts, replenishments and lead time to avoid out of stock situations.
● Provide visibility of open orders and in-transit shipments to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
● Continuously assess shipment delays' impact on the customer’s demand.
● Together with the US Customer service Team and Global Supply Chain Team, manage allocations for items with limited availability (further development of current processes, adding better visibility for commercial teams and customers).
● Monitor shelf life and slow-moving materials monthly, collaborating with the Commercial Team and Sales and Operations Manager to develop plans to limit destruction costs.
● Proactively participate in scenario building for risk mitigation purposes from a supply chain perspective.
- Project Work
● Support local projects with supply chain impact during conception, implementation, and execution, such as NPD or Portfolio Changes, Packaging Changes, RTC changes, Trade Contingencies, etc., and liaise with corp./reg. Supply Chain teams to timely obtain appropriate support and guidance.
● Support Global Supply Chain projects on an ad hoc basis.
- Strip stamps:
● Together with the Logistic Specialist, support the 3PL in the full management of the strip stamps inventory.
● Support the local 3PL in the strip stamps acquisition process & reporting.
● Monitor local inventory levels of strip stamps and raise the purchase orders to the 3PL when needed.
● Monitor the bank guarantees level for strip stamps, in transit goods and storage to ensure that we keep the right level.
● Support the 3PL in the reconciliation of strip stamps sent abroad collaborating with the Global Supply Chain Team.
What You Bring to the Table
● Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Accounting or a related field.
● Deep knowledge of forecasting and inventory management, planning, customs, strip stamps, and excise tax requirements for the spirits industry.
● Italian and English Language a requirement.
● Strategic thinking, ownership, decision-making abilities and analytical skills.
● Strong interpersonal skills; able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of internal and external contacts and with diverse cultures.
● Collaborative team player.
● Strong customer mindset.
● Adaptable, flexible, and resilient.
● SAP/APO Experience.
