Brown-Forman Business Development Executive in Surry Hills, Australia
Meaningful Work From Day One The Business Development Executive - is a sales and partnership building role within the Sydney, NSW Brown-Forman Australia (B-FA) business. The key responsibility of this role is to manage and grow a territory of predominantly On Premise (80%) and Off Premise (20%) customers whilst having a sound understanding of Brown-Forman and the customers strategy. Critical to this role is to have commercial acumen, passion for our industry and ability to influence and grow partnerships, applying an entrepreneurial and creative mindset.
What You Will Do in This Role
Relationship Development
Collaborate to understand what drives customer decisions
Spend time in on-premise venues during peak trading times to better understand the business
Provide industry, category, brand or business relevant information the customer will value
Learn everything you can about the customer and their business
Seek new key business with a passion to grow our footprint in Sydney
Commercial Capability
Maximise B-F profit contribution from accounts and territory
Communicate commercial scenarios linked to B-FA / Customer strategies
Commercial scenarios linked to core decision-making triggers
Present insights to support your case and increase customer engagement
Communication and Collaboration
Present in an engaging and informative manner to customers
Construct meaningful business dialogue during calls using structured questioning strategies
Collaborate with customers to ensure emerging trends, consumer behaviors and competitive activity are communicated
Territory, Account & Time Management
Build territory plans that deliver quantifiable objectives
Pre-plan objectives for each sales call
Efficiently and effectively manage time to deliver objectives
All accounts to be called on / contacted as required
Seek new business via planned cold-calling
Sales Administration
Evaluate territory and account plans within set timings
Activate and evaluate brand activations within set timings and budgets
Review territory sales reports to highlight areas of opportunity and concern
Analyse data - extract commercial and consumer insights to develop new strategies
Internal account data maintenance
Product and Technical Knowledge
Maintain a high level of B-FA brand portfolio and technical drinks knowledge
Understand and recommend new concepts to the customer
Understand basic drink making processes and skills
Deliver external brand training sessions
