Brown-Forman Customer Marketing Specialist - ANZPI in Surry Hills, Australia

Brown-Forman GTR is a pivotal unit that reaches affluent shoppers all over the world at scale. Our long term strategy has identified material business opportunities especially in the super premium segment. The GTR Marketing team is composed of passionate leaders who collaborate everyday to enrich the traveler's journey with an elevated brand & shopping experience.

This role will require regular domestic and yearly international travels depending on business needs. Working hours are flexible as the role requires outside of set business hours (30%)

Meaningful work from day one

  • Support the ANZPI region by executing promotions that leverage key channel strategies and increase travelers demand, strengthen customer relationships and deliver profit within the region.

  • Responsible for coordinating the promotional and merchandising initiatives for Brown-Forman across the different TR channels.

  • The Marketing Specialist is responsible for ensuring promotions meet regional goals and objectives, are on time, stay within budget and are aligned with local markets when applicable.

  • Responsibilities will also include day-to-day trade marketing and sales support.

What you can expect

Marketing and promotional Planning & Execution in ANZPI

Support the APAC Customer Marketing Manager to:

  • Timely develop and manage the promotional calendars and merchandising activities

  • Coordinate point of sale materials and ensure timely delivery and within brand spend budget

  • Support the preparation of annual the rolling planning and assist in evaluating the results of all initiatives

  • Manage and track the marketing budgets and oversee the investment in A& spending.

  • Day-to-day customer marketing support for all Travel Retail customers across Australia, New Zealand and when required the Pacific Islands and Asia region.

  • Complete evaluations for all promotions and merchandising activity including sales uplift analysis and cost review using the internal M&E tracker tool (Measurement & Evaluation)

  • Conduct in-store market and customer visits and report on BF and competitor activity.

  • Travel as requested by managers

  • Plan, activate and review promotional events ensuring they are in line with legal standards

  • Identify where synergies exist between ANZ Travel Retail and Local Economy markets and if appropriate how programs can be translated to Travel Retail activity

  • Understand and communicate the consumer profiles and travel behavior of consumers in key priority airports.

Support the Sales & Commercial function

Partner with the regional commercial function to:

  • Understand and respond to both customer and brand marketing needs, including creation of marketing materials, training materials, and customer presentations

  • Build relationships with sales and marketing contacts across key customers head offices and outlets and work with the commercial function to make sales calls and present material as required

  • Collaborate with the commercial function on POS material and VAP, ensuring keep up to date with local economy brand strategies and activity.

  • Collaborate & partner with Customers, internal & external partners

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners, including the global GTR team.

  • Work with B-F Design, B-F Legal and Compliance, relevant internal B-F teams, the Travel

  • Retail Commercial Team, agencies and suppliers to ensure optimal execution

  • Build and maintain relationships with domestic Australia teams to keep up to date on local brand strategies and activity

  • Project Management: ability to manage high volume of projects simultaneously

Your profile

  • Aptitude to learn quickly and to apply learning to tasks and tools (Paxsmart and

  • IWSR)

  • Successful track record in full mix trade marketing in the premium spirits industry

  • and/or luxury brands

  • Experience in the international business environment, knowledge and experience within the Travel Retail channel would be an advantage
