Meaningful Work From Day One

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team as an integral marketing leader. The key responsibility of this role is to effectively integrate Sales and Marketing Plans to drive category growth. Using quality insights , your role will aim to create mutually beneficial outcomes for Brown-Forman and our customers.

It is crucial that this role works cross functionally and influentially across both sales and marketing, lead effective and timely planning processes across BTL initiatives, as well as generating actions from category insights.

What You Will Experience

Leadership

  • Lead, inspire and empower the high performing Channel & Category team.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to other leaders to promote discussion and collaboration and drive better decision making

  • Participate as part of the Marketing Leadership Teams for Australia, as well as being a strong contributor to the Sales Leadership team, leading national marketing and sales strategy development and special projects

  • Develop the skills and capabilities of the team, leading growth and diversity

  • Implement and foster a brand building culture with a focus on continuous improvement

Go-To-Market Planning

  • Lead the planning process across the business and the execution of the retail, On Premise and digital channel plans, along with in-store activations

  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams on brand and customer strategies and synthesise into go-to-market plans

  • Be accountable for the customer marketing budget across all brands

  • Collaborate with Finance to evaluate programing and socialise key findings with business leaders

  • Ensure all go to market requirements are met for new product launches

  • Participate in partnership with National Account teams in their annual planning meetings/discussions

  • Lead the execution of events including national sponsorship agreements and On-Premise events in partnership with other teams and functions

Category Insights

  • Lead category insights across the business and drive understanding cross functionally

  • Lead the team to connect consumer, shopper, and industry insights and make recommendations on shelf position, assortment and pricing

  • Partner on the development and delivery of category/range reviews

Internal and External Partnerships

  • Develop strong and meaningful internal and external partnerships

  • Collaborate with internal partners to continually improve go-to market capability by enhancing systems, processes, tools and brand programs

  • Lead the management of BTL agencies and third party providers to maximise value

  • Expertise in the sale of products in both on and off premise channels

Your Profile

  • Expertise in category within FMCG industry

  • Demonstrated customer marketing / trade marketing experience

  • Circa 7 years experience in managerial / leadership role

  • Experience in developing team capabilities

  • Strong business acumen and P&L experience

  • Proven success in developing robust partnerships and influencing key stakeholders

  • Knowledge in understanding customer plans and prioritising category partnerships

  • Passion for bringing brands to life through retail, events or on-trade

  • Flexibility in spending time in trade after hours
