Meaningful Work from Day One

This position will manage the operation of the business inventory management and its integrity, while ensuring legal compliance with the various authorities.

*Note - this is a fixed term contract until March 2023*

What you will experience

Inventory Management

  • Manage by-monthly stock takes around the country

  • Review and communicate Best Before Date management for RTD's

  • Collaborate with the commercial team and planning to implement solutions to minimise BBD write off.

  • Review and communicate Slow Moving and Obsolete SKU management.

  • Engage commercial team and supply chain to facilitate stock write off minimisation plans

  • Monitor inventory integrity with SOH reconciliation at a batch level for Local Economy, Duty Free and eCommerce

  • Manage the SAP Error notification file (EDI issues), analyse variances, collaborate with 3PL for process improvement and update SAP inventory system

  • Investigate transport losses and create appropriate system transactions

  • Investigate, and guide stock adjustments in accordance with Customs, ATO regulations, and accounting standards

Compliance​

  • Manage the FICA (Food Import Compliance Agreements) Quarantine process with the Commonwealth, participating in FICA stock take and training.

  • Ensuring compliance with SOX to meet external audit requirements.

  • Reconcile Weekly Excise and Duty settlement payment in compliance of Customs and ATO requirements.

  • Collaborate with 3PL to manage inventory processes to ensure under-bond and duty paid stocks are maintained correctly at batch level to meet Customs and ATO requirements.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and 3PL to ensure system duty rates are updated properly and timely in accordance to latest changes.

Co-Packing process

  • Manage the Demand Dependent SKUs (DDS) co-packing process, gift lines, mandatory requirements & NPD within SAP and work closely with planning and 3PL co-packer to achieve desired outcomes. Communicate re-packing timelines to Sales and Marketing and work closely with approved supplier and B-FC manufacturing facilities to achieve desired timelines.

  • Manage the outsource quality assurance process for noncompliance products.

Commercial and Financial Analysis

  • Manage the monthly cost per case analysis & SC KPI

  • Reconcile Weekly settlement payment to Customs and ATO

  • Reconcile quarterly duty payments for stock take gains and losses

  • Oversee the refunds with Customs and ATO for BBD, obsolete stock w/off

  • Analyze, and reconcile raw materials, and packaging at approved 3PL manufactory sites

  • Supply Chain month end - Analyze expenses and create appropriate accruals for month end.

  • Support the Supply Chain Manager with yearly budgets

  • Identify & communicate Customer SOH changes and potential impact to the business.

  • Identify current inventory within NZ & AUS and partner with BFC to ensure appropriate Insurance is applied, including co-packers and any offsite storage locations.

  • Validate and approve supply chain costs, in accordance with contract rates and guidelines.

Projects and Continuous improvement

  • Assist with ongoing project work analysis (Freight Analysis, Warehouse location and storage analysis, eCommerce and other RTC models)

  • Work closely with the Planning Manager to analyze appropriate inventory cover by SKU, pending on forecast accuracy. Make safety level proposals.

  • Process improvement for eCommerce operations and system implementation, NPD and promotional packs

Container Deposit Scheme and GS1

  • Oversee GS1 platform and ensure GS1 certificates are up to date.

  • Coordinate Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) registration for required products in Australia to support and communicate the latest list to sales team.

  • Liaise with vendor and government Environment Protection Authority (EPA) to update and renew the CDS register for container deposit refund and compliance in all states

People Management

  • Manage and lead inventory team, coach the Inventory Analyst and eCommerce Analyst for performance.

  • Manage internal and external commercial relationships with 3PL logistics, AQIS (Commonwealth government), Marketing, CMD and Sales.

Your Profile

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Finance or logistics

  • University Qualification

  • Financial mindset

  • Ability to work with people at all levels, hands on manner

  • Collaborative yet hands on approach

  • Experience in Compliance with Customs, ATO and Quarantine

  • Proven analytical experience, and reconciliation experience

  • SAP experience
