Brown-Forman ANZPI (Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands) owner of some of the world's most iconic drinks brands including Jack Daniels, Woodford Reserve, Tequila El Jimador and Herradura is on the hunt for a local first, Marketing and Communications Manager to lead the media planning and communications agenda across the Brown Forman portfolio.
With a sizable ATL budget, you will work hand in hand with some of the best marketers in the business to further grow awareness of the portfolio, deliver future growth and support best in class innovation launches into the ANZPI markets.
Leading a small team, this position is pivotal in setting direction, communicating best practice and optimizing the overall communications planning process for the ANZPI region. Critical to this position is a “hands on” leader who works in partnership with the wider marketing team.
What you will experience
ANZPI Communications Excellence:
Together with the ANZPI Marketing Director and brand teams “Joins the dots” across communication disciplines including media, social, on-line video, CRM, search, website, data and analytics, content and e-commerce across the consumer and shopper journey.
Act as a thought partner to the wider marketing team on how best to formulate and communicate brand and portfolio communication strategy
Facilitate integrated communication trainings within the internal business, to enhance capability
Manage, update and leverage “owned” platforms (where needed) such as web-sites, social media and CRM databases.
Work closely with Insights on understanding and measuring campaign effectiveness
An expert in content, adapting global assets and creating locally as required to maximize brand cut through
Network closely with the Global Center of Excellence on implementation of the overall ANZPI Integrated Marketing Communications planning process sharing and seeking out best practice from markets around the world
Support Brand marketing & key account sales teams in development of ANZPI Brand communication and e-commerce plans to deliver on brand strategy.
8+ years working client and/ or agency side in media and marketing disciplines.
Significant experience working across the Australian media landscape and strong knowledge of media channels.
Significant ‘hands on” media planning and buying experience gained either at client or agency or ideally both.
Managing communications budgets ($5M+)
Extensive Consumer brand experience in this field
Experience within FMCG or luxury brand companies is highly regarded
Demonstrated strategic thinking across media, social, on-line video, CRM, search, website, data and analytics, content and e-commerce.
Strong understanding of marketing principles and brand growth strategy.
Evidence of impactful strategic thinking and complex project management within a communications environment.
Experience managing media agency teams including media briefing and managing significant agency projects.
Degree qualification and broad based business education (eg, MBA)
