Brown-Forman Woodford Reserve Production Planning Manager in Versailles, Kentucky
Meaningful Work From Day One This position plans all production activities at the Woodford Reserve Distillery. Key responsibilities include creating production plans that effectively utilize site resources to meet customer demands and collaborating with the operations team to ensure that production requirements are met while providing leadership to the Logistics Team. Success in this role is measured through customer service key performance indicators, minimizing out-of-stocks, and supporting company and site inventory objectives.

Provide oversight and guidance to the Logistics team in the execution of their daily duties, including warehouse space management, order fulfillment, inventory accuracy and other daily responsibilities.
Responsible for developing and implementing master production schedules at the Woodford Reserve site for a 1.3 million flat case and growing brand.
Facilitate weekly production planning meetings that review and confirm the site manufacturing plan.
Execution of the entire Master Production Schedule (MPS) process, including administration of the manufacturing order cycle (creating, confirming, and maintaining production orders) as well as tracking orders to completion utilizing SAP.
Interface with the Woodford Reserve Senior Buyer to assure raw materials and packaging supplies are available to support the production schedule.
Communicate all changes affecting the production plan to the plant team. Notify site and corporate personnel of supply chain issues that may affect customer service objectives.
Review customer demand by market and negotiate delivery dates when necessary.
Serve as the site point of contact for new product introduction, on-going product availability, and promotional items.
Lead the development and expansion of the Sales & Operation Planning process at Woodford Reserve.
Manage plant inventory to achieve site and corporate objectives.
Assure compliance with Brown-Forman Standard Operating Procedures and Policies. Conduct provided training as required.
SAP activities to support operations to include receipt entry and shipping and transfer documents.
Provide vacation coverage for production staff and their administrative duties.
Complete other duties as assigned by the Plant Director.
Participate in continuous improvement projects, including operational problem resolutions and process standardization.
Explore innovation in terms of technology, people, processes, and systems.
Utilize internal and external resources effectively
Help develop short-term and long-term quality objectives.
Leverage resources effectively to meet plant KPI’s per budget standards
Explore opportunities for cost savings, supporting cost containment projects as appropriate.
We Are Looking For People Who
Education: Have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration OR a related field OR equivalent work experience.
4 or more years of production planning experience in a production facility.
Computer literate including familiarity with software programs such as Google Workspace and Microsoft Office (SAP experience preferred).
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel and external contacts and collaborate with other Brown-Forman production facilities
Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to formulate responses and compose final drafts expressing Company Policy or practice.
Demonstrated ability to manage change effectively, handle multiple tasks efficiently, and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to understand the supply chain cycle and how decision making affects internal and external partners.
