Meaningful Work From Day One

In the pursuit of our ambition to be the most valuable brand in the world, the Assistant Brand Manager is responsible for supporting the delivery of profitable growth for the Jack Daniel’s trademark.

This role will report directly to the Senior Brand Manager of Jack Daniel’s Flavours and actively nurture and support the development of marketing campaigns; advertising, activation and promotional programmes in the UK, all whilst managing internal and external stakeholders’ expectations. The role will have full ownership of the implementation and execution.

This is a fixed-term contract until January 15th 2025.

What You Can Expect

Business Planning cycle

● Support the SBM in the delivery of the Strategy & Insights process and its outcomes

● Work closely with teams to ideate innovative and exciting brand activations which deliver against strategic imperatives

● Support preparation of 3-year brand plan presentations & be ready to present and take stakeholders on a journey

● Be the go to liaison between Sales and Customer Marketing teams by:

○ Upholding brand guardianship to ensure the trademark is expressed consistently and ‘on-brand’, ensuring all approvals are obtained ahead of the live date

○ Proactively initiating regular cadence to help galvanize cross-functional collaborations on projects and joint-business-plan

● Facilitate the delivery of media plan from the briefing stage to the evaluation stage, and be the interface between Media agency and the Brand

● Foster strong relationships with external agencies across media, creative and PR to ensure all creative and communication output are laddering up strategically

Ownership of Implementations

● Work closely with Global and Regional teams to learn from other markets successes and apply where and when relevant

● Keep monitoring competitors’ activities and seek inspirations beyond spirits categories, demonstrating curiosity to feed the planning cycle

● Responsible for brand and experientials including selecting the relevant events and how we show up (creatives) to production and evaluation

Business performance & management

● Help with monthly brand performance reviews including competitive set commentary

● Responsible for A&P management: raising POs, recording, monitoring and maintaining spends at all times to stay on budget

● Own the on-going post evaluations of brand activities, so learnings can be applied to the planning cycle helps drive marketing effectiveness and efficiency

What You Bring to the Table

● Experience in marketing, either in house or at the agency side

● Proven knowledge of managing campaign activations and, preferably brand experientials

● Good knowledge of P&L and budgeting

● Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

● Experience in presenting to various stakeholders

● A people’s person and empathetic; ability to build strong relationships at all levels

● IT literate - MS Office applications & Google application

● Photoshop editing skill is a plus but not necessary
