Support category management for data and energy and lead Information Technology renewals. This includes the management of technology goods and services, software, and software as a service (SaaS) for Brown-Forman’s Global Information Technology. Work with leaders at Brown-Forman throughout the globe on the procurement of energy that supports our distillery and bottling plants.

What You Can Expect

• Support end-to-end Information Technology, Data, and Energy procurement and category management, from running RFP processes through to supplier contract negotiations.

• Proactively review upcoming contracts. Partner with associated technology areas to ensure renewals are completed on or before renewal date and renewal contract language is virtually similar to previous contract (not adding/changing or deleting new terms).

• Develop effective, consistent, and equitable strategic supplier relationships while maintaining a high standard of ethics.

• Track hard and soft savings achieved through execution of the renewal sourcing strategy. Produce monthly reports, which include savings and KPIs.

• With direction of Senior Category Manager, create renewal negotiation strategies (including timeline) for critical suppliers. Proactively review upcoming contracts for expiration and work with the appropriate line of business to ensure timely renewal.

• Help support Energy and Data procurement efforts as directed by the Senior Category Manager.

What You Bring to the Table

• College/University (Bachelors or Equivalent); Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline

• 4+ years’ experience in direct sourcing and procurement with a focus on technology license agreements, or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Strong working knowledge of contract negotiations with a focus on delivering significant savings in a challenging, multi-layered global environment.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to persuade, motivate and compel support for key ideas and initiatives, via persuasive and respectful discussions.

• Ability to influence decision making, and create consensus, in cross-functional and multi-site teams, and with suppliers. Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change among stakeholders.

• Ability to review a supplier pricing proposal, extrapolate life of contract cost and create a negotiation strategy for best practice contract/pricing.

• Ability to identify and focus on top priorities and balance multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

• Ability to foster a high-performance environment among diverse individuals.

• Commitment to ethical procurement and treatment of suppliers, fosters diversity and minorities as part of the supplier base.
