Brown-Forman Legal Intern (Six month FTC commencing July 2024) in Paris, France

Meaningful Work From Day One

The Legal Intern will work closely with our legal team to gain practical experience and exposure to a wide range of legal matters, with a primary focus on commercial and contractual issues. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, the intern will assist in legal research, drafting and reviewing contracts, analysing legal documents, and providing general support to ongoing legal projects at French and European level. This internship provides a valuable opportunity for professional development and insight into the legal operations of a leading company in the spirits sector.

This is a six month fixed-term contract commencing in July 2024.

What To Expect

  • Conduct legal research on various commercial and contractual matters.

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements.

  • Analyse legal documents, identify key issues and provide recommendations.

  • Assist in maintaining and organizing legal files and databases.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address legal concerns and provide guidance.

  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting the company's operations.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the legal team.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Masters Degree (M.A., MBA or Equivalent); Masters’ degree in Law (Master II), or Lawyer trainee (“élève avocat”).

  • Or currently pursuing a Masters’ degree in Law (Master II), or Lawyer trainee (“élève avocat”).

  • Strong academic record with a demonstrated interest in commercial and contractual law.
